De java.lang.math.max() funksjon er en innebygd funksjon i Java som returnerer maksimalt to tall. Argumentene tas i int, double, float og long. Hvis et negativt og et positivt tall sendes som argument, genereres det positive resultatet. Og hvis begge parametere som sendes er negative, genereres tallet med lavere størrelse som resultat.
